Dal.
Well I've not been about for 3 years after having my Focus ST225 as went to a Mazda 3 MPS and then an E46 M3 before finally coming back to a Ford. The 2 previous cars really didn't really do anything for me - the MPS had loads of power but was totally blan, and the M3 was just too immaculate to enjoy (the inner bufty in me went mad) So here it is - my new car - a 2016 Focus RS. Picked it up 29th April 2016: The speckle in the paint is unreal: I asked the dealers not to touch / wash / valet it as it's covered in fallout and crud from it's train trip from Germany - I'll give it a full detox wash tomorrow all being well so it stays swirl free from the off. Inside was still as it came off the transporter: I expressed an interest with my dealer last February and paid the deposit in July. It's been quite a wait. To say it's an amazing drive is a massive understatement. It's immense.
Dal.
Decontaminated it with snow foam, 2BM Tardis and Korrosol mostly with plenty of rinses and additional Farcala detox shampoo washes. Think I must have washed it at least 5 times! Then today was AF Rejuvinate, Poorboys White Diamond topped up with AF Spirit wax. It looks amazing. Arty: Then I went out for a drive in the rain and ruined the look as I couldn't resist driving it!
Dal.
Nipped by the St Neots grafitti tunnel for a few snaps. Would have been better if it were darker rather than the middle of the day: (A couple of different cameras / settings used to get different saturations etc) Stealth grey?
Dal.
Not really dome much with the little beastie since the above - put on some black wheel nuts and lockers - think it looks better all black. OEM Black During prep for Ford Fair, a Focus ST owner from up the road came to have a chat about it as he'd not seen one before. Caught up with him as Silverstone so that was cool: Had it at the end of the Ford Fair stand
Dal.
All ready for TRAX, I don't normally like graphics and needless promotion, but in the spirit of the chavtastic show that is TRAX I thought I'd dip my toe in: Then fitted the "rally slag" Kaylan mudflaps to protect through the winter: I argued with myself for months whether to fit them or not. Now they're on I think they're quite good. Then at the show: Next to mates Fiesta ST: Walking back to the car at one point, noticed a few people just stood staring at it. Probably saying "Didn't realise it was so metallic" as that's the usual comment..
ST2-TDCI
Welcome, Stunning Motor, I test drove one just to feel what a car I cant afford feels like lol and you got it in one 'Immense'. I've just picked up a ST2 TDCI Focus mainly due to the finance and cheap running costs. Wishing you many miles of joyful motoring :)

Dal.
Thanks for the kind words As a little aside, I lined up some of my scale models in front of the real one the other day: Liquid blue (launch colour, not available to buy) Frozen white and Nitrous Blue
Dal.
Just remembered I did a little video under the bridge. Completely standard car, just in Sports mode so both exhaust tips are open: (click the picture to go to Flickr to play the clip - turn it up!) Dal.
Tiny update: So after months of not washing it because driving it around the country lanes was so much fun, I finally got around to getting it clean again. The Tractor populated lanes have taken their toll though: Mudflaps doing their job: Auto finesse Avalanche, Dodo Juice Born to be mild shampoo, Dooka lambswool wash mitt and some elbow grease later: Time to go get it messy again. :)
JIMMWX
Sweet Car, Love the colour :-) I have the same problem with mine (I live in a rural area) but your's comes up a treat when washed, that colour is dead vibrant!
Jon84
I'm glad you're driving it as it should be driven! Good to see a dirty one!
Dal.
Not been doing any modifications or anything (or washing it much for that matter - love the dirty "Rallye Sport" look) but happened across T23FRS bigger American cousin today. Grabber Blue really is Nitrous blue but without the sparkly flake:
Dal.
Can't believe it's now a year to the day that I collected my car It went for it's first yearly service yesterday (2nd oil change) and had the PCM and audio update whilst it was there. I'm not sure if it's my imagination, or just that I got stuck in a bit of traffic on the way out but there's more pops and bangs even in normal mode. The audio is much better now as well with a fuller sound now something is coming out the rears. Had to laugh at the tyre depth on the health check - Front's 6mm, rear 7mm. As new they're only 7.3mm. Safe to say I haven't really driven it at it's full potential over the last 5496 miles. But I've loved every one of them. After a years motoring, these are my figures:
Dal.
So - drove home 33 miles from the dealers and shoved it in the garage. Got it out today and the "oil change required" warning came on the dash! Seems like I serviced it just at the right time! Reset it now so all good. (Dealer can't reset it until it comes up on the dash so a simple procedure over the phone to reset it)
Stoney871
The oil service message is purely a timed advice message rather than down to sensors.Mine came up on Monday and is being serviced today. For other members information- to clear it yourself just turn on ignition (without pressing the clutch on keyless start or turn key to position I on standard ignition cars) then press accelerator and brake pedals together until the reset message cycles through on the cluster screen.Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
Dal.
Another year, another service.. No updates as I've not modified anything! Collected from having it's 2nd annual service yesterday. Dropped it off friday - common as muck in Peterborough: These are the figures overall from 2 years of driving: The 2nd year service included replacing the brake fluid but judging by my brake pad wear, they probably shouldn't have bothered*: Another mm off the tyre tread depth from last year too. Still good fun. *yes, I know it needs doing every 2 years regardless
drsdriver
Car still looking amazing. Still love the colour. Cant believe your tyre depths. Sure you haven’t had winter tyres on all year and swopped them back for the service lol lasting well them tyres & brakes 👍
Dal.
The Focus finally got a proper modification! (the mudflaps don't really count do they?) Got some Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 (18x8 ET45) shod in Michelin Pilot Sport 4 (235.40.18) Protected them with Gtechniq C5 ceramic coating with C2V3 over the top for some slickness. Should make cleaning a doddle in the future. Must say that for my style of driving they're spot on. A tad more compliance but still with the pin sharp handling. I might even have a go at the odd track day now!
