Hi I have a 2008 cmax .......the nearside window will not stay closed,you press the switch the window shuts and than opens again ,..............Dave.

Sounds like it could be the 'anti pinch' feature, the window thinks something has got trapped and therefore lowers the window again.
Does it drop like a stone or does the motor control the drop?
Try closing the window with your finger pulling the switch to the up position the whole time, when the window is up and stopped then keep your finger on the button for 5s and that should re train the window, if that's what the fault is

Hi jonro2009 done as you said ,it has seemed to work ,the window now goes up then drop back down 1cm than goes back up and stays shut..................THANKS VERY MUCH......Dave...

No problem. I've never known it on a ford but that was the procedure on my Fabia MC. It's common after fitting wind deflectors.

Had a quickly look on tinterweb and found the resetting procedure for ford


To reset the windows, follow these steps:

Hold down the down switch until the window is fully lowered
Release the switch momentarily, and then press down again for 5 seconds
Hold down the up switch until the window is fully raised
Release the switch momentarily, and then press up again for 5 seconds
This window will now be set for one touch and global opening/closing. Repeat this procedure for each individual window, and if fitted, the sunroof...
