MattDean
Hi Everyone, I wondered if anybody may have come across this issue before or if any of you that are more mechanically/electrically gifted with cars than I may be able to offer any adivce... I have recently got a 2002 Ford Ka that came with a number of issues that have now mostly been resolved, however, one remaining issue is that the front wipers are 'stuck' on intermittent even when the wiper stalk is in the off position. The only way to stop the wipers from being on intermittent the whole time I am driving is to remove the fuse which is obviously far from ideal or safe. I picked up a new indicator/hazard/wiper switch from a breaker's yard today to see if it was the switch that was at fault but still the problem remains... I have tried to research the issue but I can't seem to find one that matches my problem in any way. With my limited income, I would rather try and fix this issue myself rather than hand it into a garage as I fear that the repair itself may be more than the car's worth! Any ideas? marco.da.man
first foughts would of been a stalk issue, was stalk from breakers the same year ? also have you checked fuses ? last it might be the wiper motor itself needs changing
problemchild
you sure its not the stalk in the wrong position? fully down (which would seem like it should be off) is intermittent 1 up is off 2 up is constant 3 up is fast JJ
