paulmeldrum
hi just thought id introduce myself, im paul, ive joined the forum to hopefully get some answers if any problems occur on my wifes 2000 fiesta 1.25 zetec s, great little car i myself have a mondeo tdci zetec which gets me from A to B. well the first problem i hope you can help me with is, ive fitted an aftermarket stereo in my wifes car but since doing so ive had a problem when my wife selects the heated rear screen the radio reception is lost!! any ideas would be welcome, also there is knocking sound from the front right hand side of the car, ive checked the engine mounts, bounced the front end of the car and cant hear it whilst doing this but you can hear it when the car goes over bumps normally, ive checked the calipers and they are secure i thought it could have been these since its just had new pads fitted, but im at a total loss well thanks for reading Paul
FMC
Welcome to the forum :) I'm not the most mechanically or electrically minded person on here, but i think the heated screen/radio problem is a simple wiring fault when the radio was fitted - ask any auto electirician with radio fitting experience to take a look ;) As for the knocking, probably suspension related - check the bottom arms, ball joint, and suspension bushes. I'd put money on one or more of those 3 ;) :)
