Just for the hell of it i priced wishbones front shocks and drop links from Ford and the local factors for an 06 focus mk2 2.0 petrol

W/bones Ford - £210 n/s £155 o/s.....factors - £70 (doesnt matter which side so what are Ford all about!)....fai

Shocks Ford (seemingly Monroes) £106 a side.....factors 60 - kayaba

drops Ford - 80 pair.....factors 30 fai

Now we all know stealer parts are or should be better made ect ect but does anybody know roughly how much they're coining in from us?

Wishbones are sided because of the ball joints so your factor was probably going to sell you two of the same side lol...

Plus they're ripping you off for crappy Fai parts...

That 2 year warranty (unlimited mileage in the first year) is what your money buys you.

Is it because the left side takes more crap ie drains ect ect....but good god 210 for one!

And they don't know/won't say who makes it ie what profit are they making. I thought fai like moog were quite good, I guess not. That's all I can get local either that or drivetech from dingbro/premier. Ecp are as bad.

From Ford you mean....even so 210 a side ffs  and I bet if you fitted them yourself (easy) they wouldn't cover it cause im not a qualified mech.

I've saw ones online with that but don't remember the make.

@Michael9 don't know how much they make, but just for reference, l bought a pair of cheap lower arm's for my MK6/7 escort at £15 each 3 month later ( 1 side the rubber in the arm went other side the ball joint went ) so l bought Febi Bilstien 1's at £30 each that was about 4-5 months ago now n not had a problem with them yet, l don't believe in ford parts are the best but sometimes there's are cheaper ie: 1.8 MK1 focus throttle body gasket is roughly £5 cheaper than eBay that amazed me and the parts guy at ford stealers near me, then sometimes you have no choice maybe as nobody else or any where else does them, l do think personally thoe they probably have them made buy a high end factory/s that probably produce 50% of the good life lasting rubber as that's the main key % of rubber used if it's not very good its not going to hold out very long same as the % of steel used as there are 2 types of steel (1) pure non mixed (2) steel with many mixed materials bonded together, that's why scrap yards prices vary for different metal's but not on steel, but yet they sell it at different prices according to pure n non pure. So for going on but hopefully it helps 😂

I know that plastic unpainted bumpers for the focus cost about 60 euros to manufacture.  I know that because my Dads company leased them the equipment to make them.
