That is indeed the horn. You can just bend it's bracket out again, won't cause any problems. Worth checking it still works after the crash before you refit the bumper though!2 points

Very helpful those details, just wish folk posted them, instead of us having to guess, just because it's in a profile doesn't mean it's the car they are talking about1 point

I can't see the details when I'm using my phone, so it does help when the details are added in lol. I guess I could have clicked into his profile lol.1 point

Hi, my name is Paul and I run a 2009 2.0 Ltr Mondeo Titanium X Estate. My previous cars were Mondeo Mk3, Sierra LX, two Fiesta's and a new BL Mini, but the less said about that the better! I am an aircraft engineer and in my spare time I am a volunteer at the Brooklands Museum, what area I'll leave you guess.1 point

Locking wheel nuts are supplied with the Edge but aren’t fitted in the factory like the rest of the Ford range, they are fitted at PDI. A small number of early UK Edges we’re supplied without locking wheel nuts sets and had to be claimed for from Ford by the supplying dealers. Perhaps this claiming back didn’t get down on your car.1 point

Yep looks like July, what pisses me off is that Ford customer services think it's ok to have out of date maps as people use 3rd party apps, that's not why I got built in satnav1 point

It’s in the settings. You just upload an image to a usb stick and plug it in, go into settings then display then edit wallpaper. Add the image from usb1 point

Hi welome mate, P0201 is injector 1 malfunction, you would need to check the plugs on the injectors then find out your cars firing order to locate injector 1, but first you would need to check if that cylinder is misfiring FORScan may be able to do it Im still not 100% with FORScan yet as I just came from vauxhall, someone else may be able to tell you if FORScan can do that, if it is misfiring you would need to take the injector out find what it's resistance should be by looking at the manufactures spec and then check it with a multimeter and if it's poor compared to what it should be you would need to replace the injector. If your not confident with injectors I would put it into a specialist. Hope that helps mate. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk1 point

Can't get to see your video, what colour smoke was it? What engine, petrol or diesel? That code may well produce smoke if it's unburnt diesel it could be black, blue is usually oil, white is normally a blown head gasket.1 point

You didn’t mention any additional testing so I presumed you had took the code as gospel as it would seem everyone does. not everyone knows what lambda probes should be doing, what long and short term fuel trims mean..1 point

The suppressor is on the inlet of the turbo it basically is a tiny hole which allows air to escape when not on throttle and when gunning it it sucks a small amount of air in and it makes a horrible noise so you get a bung to block it off so you hear the turbo through the air intake only honestly I’ve heard it before and after and there’s so much difference they shouldn’t have done it all together1 point

I just like the idea of the flexibility of it and the ability to return to stock with absolutely no trace.1 point

If I didn't live so damn far away I would've let you use my shampoo, wheel cleaner and polishes and waxes xD1 point

If you buy cheap wheel cleaner just make sure it's no caustic. I used to use wonder wheels until it ate my centre caps.1 point

The 115ps wasn't available until the Mk3 Focus in 2011. In 2006 the 1.6TDCi choices were either 90ps or 110ps. Quickest way to check as you're already online reading this is to stick your reg in here - http://www.cardatachecks.co.uk/ 80Kw is 110bhp.1 point

I use autobrite purple rain 2.0 ***** brilliant stuff, works great on tar spots too.1 point

nice list you got there and im sure they will all add up to make the car even better than stock1 point

Something non caustic. I use bilberry wheel cleaner. Great stuff lasts ages, you buy as concentrate then just make up your own spray bottle to the strength you want. I have mine quite strong as I only do them a few times a year, haha.1 point

Depends on how confident you are, have you done anything like this before? I've done it on a Mondeo, take your time follow the instruction and you should be alright. Aproper locking tool is the best bet rather than relying on a couple of drill bits that could snap.1 point

Why do you not fancy a Bluefin? I’ve only really heard good things about them tbh. Obviously it’s ‘each to their own’ and I’m not trying to tell you to get one, just wondering why. I’ve been looking into one for my focus and you get more for your money if it’s a powershift over a manual, but is there issues with them on the diesel focus?1 point

In this weather, 6 miles or more to get to temperature sounds normal to me, for a diesel. They are a lot more efficient than petrol engines, so waste a lot less heat into the cooling jacket. Downside of that is a long warm up time, especially in low speed (urban) running with the cabin heater on. If you stop after 5 miles or so, with the temperature gauge still low, and carefully feel the big hose from the thermostat to the radiator, then that should still be cold. If quite warm, then the thermostat could be sticking open. But my 1.8TCDI takes over 5 miles to get to working temperature, and that is on 60 limit roads, with some hills. So it is probably normal.1 point

Yeah but if you get a basic obd reader and just read the Ecu error codes and plonk it into google you get the answer, then you can either take it to a garage and tell em to replace the part or check it out yersel - thats how i first learned to use em and i knew nothing about em , plugged it into my old Streetkrap and found the lambda sensor fault and saved myself the £140 the garage wanted to charge me to do the repair and now i'm pretty good know most of the codes off by heart now! Problem is everybody neighbour, neighbours friend brings me their cars for a quick plugin and test as they know it only takes me less than five minutes to do the job AND THE RICH ONES with their Mercs know I have the special round OBD plug so dont expect to pay anything eh! Besides it costs £30 minimum for a mechanic in a garage to plug one in - so £30 saved pays for one in the first go!1 point

Yeah the only thing that happens to petrol filter is they rust at the end seams and then leak!1 point

How long are we talking here? Before I swap summer/winter wheels, I use Bilt Hamber Auto Wheel once to clean them and then apply Mer Wheel wax which helps prevent brake dust from sticking to the wheel. All I do for subsequent cleans is wipe the wheel with a sponge and soapy water. OK, I appreciate that it's slightly easier to do this on a spare set of wheels, but I reckon that if you can spare that initial bit of time once a year to clean the wheels apply wheel wax, it will save you loads of time for subsequent cleaning.1 point

I have never tried to open windows on my Fiesta X 2016 but have used the facility to hold down the lock position on my key to close all the windows if I have left one open.1 point

I have phosphoric acid somewhere on my desk..Rust remover to some folk, soldering flux to others like me lol. Nikstryker, a basic obd2 reader is fine. Problem is you need to know how to use and understand it otherwise you just start firing the parts cannon lol. Live data is fine, again if you know what you are looking at but all this is just extremely basic diagnostic, if it's even diagnostic lol. Once you get into scopes and wiring diagrams and component testing, I'd call that diagnostic1 point

I think these little mods will help improve driving experience. Where would you find the turbo sound suppressor? I don't see why they would suppress the turbo noise when it sounds addicting hearing the turbo spool. On my car you can hear it spool down but only when you shift up from second and third.1 point

I have not come across spiked wheel nuts yet. I assume you don't mean something like this! ScaniaPBman.1 point

How is your Russian Language? https://www.drive2.ru/l/451264037246731091 It is possible but only on certain vehicles. I think they're called "stickers international" I searched on Google for the images then I ordered them on line, they asked what size I wanted, they even suggest a size, I'll do a bit of digging and let you know exactly the name of the company and the size I ordered.1 point
