I’d go for NTK/NGK. I’ve found Bosch sensors can be a bit chunkier too which can be a problem.1 point

Gave it a go this morning, it worked. Moving the files from the VIN numbered folder into the root of the usb did it. Although the Ford instructions are a bit unclear on that. To be fair it does display some information when it's working and the notification to say it's done is sufficient. Thanks for all of your help.1 point

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone has used any of the Chinese Android headunits you can get for sub-£300? I currently have the optional Sony in-dash 6 CD headunit and 'premium' speakers and it's OK for listening to the radio but I'm getting to the point where I'd like bluetooth capability for calls as well as streaming music. The AUX in is fine to a point, but owning an iPhone 7 means I can use the AUX or charge - not both (unless I use an adapter)! Been looking at Xtrons, Eonon, etc. and just wanting some feedback. The other option is to get a cheaper Pioneer unit, which would do the job if I'm being honest1 point

It does have ACC As it takes two turns to start the engine, the head unit will be off when the key is removed it is as they require. The straight swap shape of the xtrons will save your 60 pounds not having to purchase a double DIN conversion kit. I've got a xtrons 10" screen in the back of my focus aswell as the xtrons tv tuner both fitted three years now and no issues, my head unit is pioneer but two JL Audio amps and speakers.1 point

The reason for Pioneer is the whole 'better the devil you know', but the Android units are 'vehicle specific' so I do without the issue of having to fit cages, etc. Possible stupid question, but does the MK2 Focus have an ACC position? If not, is this going to be an issue? Both the Xtrons and Pioneer manuals says not to fit without an ACC position on the ignition and I've never looked before!1 point

Those are pad retaining clips and caliper to carrier bolts. Basically what you have there is a ‘fitting kit’1 point

If a Ford dealer did it, it should have been done properly. It will have been through Ford's IDS system that they applied the map originally. I just meant if you'd bought the handset and done it yourself, then it wouldn't be registered on Ford's servers.1 point
-
How was the MP215 applied? If it was done properly, the map is registered with Ford so that when they apply PCM updates, it is the one which includes the map from Mountune.1 point

MP3Gain is a good programme, I used to use it a while ago, but bear in mind that tracks that have been mastered differently may still sound quieter than others, even though you've set the gain on them to match. I'd personally just use the default option of 89 and see how you go1 point

Well @stef123 it's finally back on the road just after a month 😂 best bit of advice to anyone else who does a DIY gearbox change... What ever level it sat at when you remove it don't change it, l got given a set of ramps slightly taller than my current 1's l was using so swapped them over total headache 😠 because it changed the engine height n it was hard as hell to get it set back right where it was, but it's all done n very much missed driving it so next is to rebuild the previous box instead of searching for another when the time comes for replacement again which I hope isn't soon 😧 😂1 point

Socket bit that's slightly smaller as @Luke4efc mentioned wack it on n it'll undo done it loads there a pain really either lose them or they round off because of the angle when undoing them.1 point
