1. @TimST2 Carol shelby would be proud 👍. Reminds me a little of the one in need for speed. I do like this video uploaded today.

7. Hi All, Having had my front wing "adjusted" by a deer dashing into the road I am now obliged to fit a new wing, bumper, foglight, headlight, PAS pump and PAS reservoir + new belts. Can anyone tell me if the wing is held by bolts only or welds, as usual the manual gives no info. Many thanks

9. Just had the same problem on my titanium mk2 facelift before Xmas....... Put the car into reverse gear with the ignition on but obviously NOT with the engine running. Put your ear next to each sensor and you should hear a noise coming from it. (My daughter said it’s reminiscent of a type of taser sound-she pinpointed the duff sensor on mine as I have tinnitus) When you find one that isn’t making the noise, that’s the duff one! I managed to get one off e-bay for £12.99 just before Xmas and it now mine works perfectly 👍🏼 (you’ll need to remove the old sensor to see what it looks like to get the correct replacement-easy to get out from under the bumper) I’ve attached a photo of my old one below

12. Autobeam LED indicators ordered for the front only, as I obviously have custom led rear lights. And also a full blue interior upgrade. Anyways, I've now set out my plans for the year.. I won't be touching the engine at all as I don't want void warranty on it. (after September, il consider modifying the car for performance) Will start after the winter weather in March with - 35mm lowering springs, full trc splitter kit, eyebrows and full flyeye headlight wrap. Until then, wrap up warm😂

15. I have a Celica GT4 which is fitted with a full body kit, 18" wheels, and a few engine mods. Elephant didn't charge me a penny extra when I declared them all, though being an old f**t may have aided in the decision as I'm far too old to be a boy racer - honest! LOL

18. TomsFocus I'd say have a good look at the Ecoboost Fiestas. They're cracking little cars with excellent fuel economy and (with the exception of the ST) a really comfy ride. You're clearly a Ford man so why not get something you'll really like (if it's no more expensive)? I loved my Zetec and used to own a Focus too. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

20. I just plugged in Forscan and confirmed that the reverse light switch is functioning? I understand the the switch is quite simple on/off so the circuit is either on/off. I guess the problem must be elsewhere?

21. Now come on, don't be daft. The vehicle was bought in the UK for use in the UK Market. The Camera Recognition Software ect. worked OK in the UK. The OP has now transported the Vehicle to a completely different Market. Explain to me how this can possibly be a manufacturing defect? H

22. I know this post is almost a year old, but the 'memory' of the window needs re-set. Simply hold the 'up' button for an additional 3 seconds after it shuts, that'll fix the 'error'.

23. I think you may need to look at the pads or shoes to see if they are worn out cheap pads don't last long I would not spray WD 40 on the brakes as it will not do the pads or shoes any good

24. That's my thinking. But my issue is that when I drop into reverse gear I get a long continuous tone for about 5 secs which I'm assuming is the car telling me the sensors have malfunctioned? So, if the switch powers up the sensors, shouldn't the sensor circuit be 'dead'?

25. Yes I too have that fear. I tried a static regen with FORScan but I was using a wireless OBD2 connector and it kept interrupting the process. I’m not sure if that was a connectivity issue or something else, but I have ordered a OBD to usb cable to eliminate the connectivity issue. I ordered the fluid and both it and the cable should arrive within the next few days. I’ll top the fluid up and do a static regen and let you all know how I get on. If it doesn’t work properly I’ll try the water trick and make a video so anyone can see how to do it and hopefully be able to advice on it’s success. I have a friend who does the cameras down the sewers so I might get some inside the dpf footage which would be interesting lol but yeah, fluid and static first. I’ll not mind doing the water trick as if it all fails, I’ll be having to buy a new dpf anyhow.

26. I had to change the rear speakers on my Cmax due to water ingress and mold. You can fit either normal speakers, or speakers with the tweeter built in. I fitted the ones with tweeters built in. I also had to order speaker surrounds so that they would fit in the door as the oem speakers are encased in a plastic surround. Its a relatively easy job, but the oem speakers are riveted in, so be prepared for that.

27. The little green Daewoo is now but a cube of metal sadly. I’d take the Focus on this but A) I want to try something different and B) I’d be crippled after driving some of the distances I plan to as I don’t find very comfortable on long journeys!

29. Before you start replacing parts blindly you really need some basic diagnostics, if you have a Windows laptop you can use an ELM327 cable and free software called Forscan to do it yourself. If you search the form you'll find som detailed posts about the Forscan solution (or you can pay a garage to check for codes, note them if present and clear the codes, that way if you get any future codes you know they're recent and not from 7 years ago).

30. Unfortunately that does make sense 😔 you may even make some money claiming 45p/mile back on the golf lol. The things we have to do for women lol, hope she's giving up shopping sprees and nail manicures haha

31. Just a lot of combustible materials near the workstations, chemicals being stored on shelves next to box's above head height there's a risk of falling on someone's head or next to them on the table and looks like there's a bin blocking the eyelash station down there to the right lol

32. The "On" button doesn't turn cruise off on the MK2, it purely arms the system ready for the driver to set whatever cruise speed they want. The "RES" button toggles it on and off (at whatever speed it was engaged at last), the "Off" button entirely disarms cruise so it won't respond to any inputs until the "On" button is pressed again.

33. All done, nice and shiny! Removing the old button is a destructive process, so don't just experiment if yours is in good condition! Use a slim flat blade screwdriver, and place in between the black rubber lever, and the plastic button. You can then start to wiggle it out, where it will kindly break and self destruct. Just proceed to remove all the bits including maybe levering the bottom too. Putting the new bit in is a simple push fit, but be careful to orientate it so the longer bit is upper most. You need to jab it with the palm of your hand till you hear both top & bottom clips locate themselves. Now, £13 is extortionate for a tiny bit of plastic, but, there you go... Part No. F1447426

35. I don’t like the idea of losing a bit of performance. If I bought the car because partly I liked the performance of it, and they take a bit away from the car because of a software update, seems a bit unfair.
1 point
36. None mate. The performance drop happens at the time of a clutch slipping, but otherwise operates as normal.
