  1. That might not be a bad idea actually. Well I did kill a pigeon a few months ago when it flew in front of my car, so maybe they are out for revenge... If I don't post for a while then maybe somebody had better check my house to see if I'm lying dead with my eyes pecked out like in "The Birds"!!

  2. I do like being quite merrily drunk at 11am on a Sunday morning, I would prefer to be sober and working through the entire weekend, but I'm stuck at home with nothing to do so Alcohol is pleasantly passing the time. Splendid ☺️👌

  5. I must be strange because I actually prefer the pre-facelift! That said I also preferred the pre-facelift MK4 Fiesta (the one in my avatar) so maybe there's a theme developing...

  6. I like being able to see these two side by side, facelift is definitely better looking.

  7. It's a Homark, I have already searched and can't see one like it. Just thought it would be sensible to have a light for each hob, kinda like having just one central indicator on your car and letting folk have a guess which way you're turning LOL

  8. Hi, I have a Ford Fiesta Zetec S 1.6TDCI MK7.5. I want to do some mods to is as well as get a remap for it but I am new to modifying a car. I have put on a K&N air filter on the car that's about it any suggestions would be great thanks.

  9. I've always thought of it that way, too. Perhaps confusion arises because of the old phrase "letting the clutch out" (after opening the door first, of course!😀)

  10. If you are wanting to see how things change I think you'd be better of painting them. Grease will attract a coating of dirt in no time at all thus preventing you seeing what's happening, whereas paint won't and should also provide a barrier to oxygen and therefore stopping further corrosion. If the corrosion does for whatever reason continue it'll bubble the paint up and make itself obvious.

  11. Check the metal boost pipe, prone to cracking around the bracket on the 1.8TDCi.

  12. The light bar bracket has arrived along with the replacement reg plate as you can see it's got plenty of holes fitted making it more adjustable to requirements; I'll be fitting it in reverse form and upside down as shown above with the bracket fitted inwards on the lower grill of the mk1 Toyota yaris. The registration plate is 20.5" where the new light bar is 25" so it should look good being a little bigger than the reg plate on either side. More updates when the light bar and loom arrive aswell as the Q3.0 12v USB power supply for the dash.

  13. I'm expecting the 25" light bar to arrive next Wednesday from Amazon But in the meantime; I've presented him with the decals, bulbs and headlight restoration kit, Although he hasn't had time to use the headlight restoration kit yet due to have two kids under the age of two, He has fitted the decals and the bulbs, well some of the bulbs as the indicator bulbs well theres no point fitting the chrome because theres an amber lens within the headlight so it remains amber 🙄 and reverse bulbs are the wrong fitment there not P21 there some sort of T15 or T20 fitment 😅 The Philips H4 are fitted and hes very happy with them, he had HID's fitted in an Audi TT and says the Philips H4 are a close enough match and a definite improvement over the orginal bulbs which were fitted in the yaris; looking forward to further improvement when the headlight restoration is done there wont be any yellow atall and even further again 😂 when the 500w light bar is fitted. Looking good

  16. I do for the headlights, just not the fogs. My sidelights are blue/white and my headlights are a cool blue as well. Remember my lights are painted gold so the sidelights reflect off gold paint, whereas the main lights reflect off the silver projectors/reflectors so do actually look white [emoji13] Sent from my BLA-L09 using Tapatalk

  17. Even better when you paint within the headlight brow lines and fit a colour coded bonnet lip

  18. I still miss my mk2.5 every time I walk past a clean black one with tints and xenons… Definitely haven't had anything as good looking since!

  23. @Katie-s sorry to bring this up again but if you do go onto sanding the headlights do let me know as I may help guide you on it 👍. Sanding may look intimidating and this was the first time sanding for me also but the results I was far from happy with.

  25. As mentioned earlier: Ford Technical have also confirmed that the F8 Maps will not be available for your vehicle due to compatibility and will have to wait for the F9 Maps due out January 2020. sad times.......

  26. Not having a Focus, only just got round to reading this thread. At one time I would have thought "unbelievable" but emissions scandals, ecoboost coolant issues etc, etc make it look par for the course now! I would add one more thing to the list above, and we're all partly complicit in it, and that is adding more and more equipment to cars without increasing prices too much, which must lead to reduction in quality of basic components.

  28. It's 2006 so 13 years old. It's actually not hard using a machine polisher. I was scared in the beginning but after doing the first panel and it looking immaculate I carried on. I sadly scratched the side of the car when going down a B road and hitting a twig. Doesn't look deep so hopefully it comes out with a machine polish. Did restore the headlights. Here's one side.

  29. I don't like getting up this morning and opening my bedroom curtains to see the Passat covered in bird crap again, only 1 week after I got it valeted!! Given it is "splattered" all over the bonnet and wing I suspect a pigeon is the culprit rather than a gull, but either way I'd quite happily shoot the thing if I saw it.
