Yeah there's been a few updates but they haven't really fixed it 😂 I think they've messed it up and can't get it right on these 1.5s, it's a simple system really but who knows? If I ever meet the engineer I'll question him! And none of the newer Ford diesels like small journeys anymore literally kills them slowly

The newer facelift and renamed models were announced in Jan 2018, for delivery mid 2018. The production orders for the 2015 model were stopped end of 2017, whilst the UK stock supported purchases from then until the newer 2018 models were allocated production slots, built and shipped to the UK (a 3-4 month process!).

Yeah that's Liam he's a Bearnese Beagle bit bigger than a pure beagle he's 3ft long and almost 2ft tall but a pure softy Lyes on my lap like a baby with his back paws in the air and front paws around my neck 😂 loves to be petted and steals things for the chase; takes the TV remote or your mobile phone but won't bite it; just holds it in his mouth and runs around until to catch him or provide a treat. Sync 2 had climate controls on the screen.

I am still on sync 3.3 and cannot change my climate temperatures via voice commands. Although, I am sure I could on my previous Mk 3.5 focus.

No. Can’t on mine. I never tried it before to know if it worked on 3.3 though. I assumed it only worked when climate controls were enabled on sync.

That's why the 1.5 tdci has lower service intervals than the petrols on the whole. My Mondeo 2018 2.0tdci seems ok with short journeys to work and back and no vaporiser that I'm aware of.

I went to work an hour early last night; stopped off at the chipper on the way; price of chips has gone up since the beginning of the pandemic 😷 €3 for just the white paper bag full and €2.90 for a 6" Battered Sausage of which I bought two, total €9.00 including a fork for €0.15 I went to Tesco for two 1.75ltr bottles Coca-Cola before that was €4.20 for those all in €13.20. Watched TV in the car using the steering wheel table, Was nice to do a normal thing again although it was expensive, Speaking of hot dogs; here's Liam wearing my jumper

I thought Candy Red was a metallic or pearlescent shade, btw - old thread here which mentions it. https://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/50000-candy-red-metallic-or-pearl-or/ I have Race Red. On the positive side, I do think it suits the "sporty" looks of an ST or ST- Line and it does seem to look clean even when it isn't!😀 Plus it was the only "free" colour at the time I ordered mine. On the negative side, my car does seem to attract unwanted attention from people (usually in old Corsas with exhausts like drainpipes) who seem to want to race away from traffic lights and overtake come what may!😡

I'm pretty certain that the Sport was phased out in favour of the ST-Line in late 2017 as I got one of the last Sports in December 2017.

You were right @TomsFocus about the split boost pipe. Although it seems to be the flexible bit attached to the metal pipe (see image attached). Easy fix?

On the PCM front, when the car was in 9 weeks ago, the dealer said that all the software was up to date. I will quiz him again when I speak to him this morning, just waiting for the call back Cheers

Very interesting, thanks guys. I have been wondering about the DPF. As I bought the car from new, it was fine at first, but as the months crept on, the issue slowly crept in, getting worse all the time. So I was thinking only last evening "is the DPF blocked and partially clearing occasionally - usually when we are running in top gear and on a stright run with no gear changes (should be a constant flow through the DPF. I will run this by the dealer this morning, then comes the new issue of the car deleting it's dash engine management (warning) light) and associated codes, maybe it's a relative of KITT in Knight Rider and decides for itself😂 I will let you know what the dealer has to say - Ford management are supposed to be calling me on 3rd Thanks guys

Ground negative cable bolted to vehicles frame done ***** poorly at the factory build. Unbolt from frame, thoroughly clean/scrap/remove all paint completely till you see shiny metal surface, but only for surface area that will be directly mated beneath and around the negative cable that will be reconnected to this point. FYI: best results is to apply dielectric grease to the now unpainted surface for grounding as well as a little to end terminal of negative cable before reattaching. Issue at fault is motors inside transmission as well as other electrically dependent items are not getting adequate supply causing erratic or low functioning operations.

Ruby red is a more pearlescent sheen whereas race (candy) red is lighter and doesn't have a pearlescent sheen. It's more like a Ferrari red. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk

The volume controls on sync3 are a bit random tbh. Nav volume can only be changed whilst nav or voice interaction is talking and hazard warnings can only be set whilst the warning is being announced or another way is when playing mp3 files, in the top right corner is an option for the system to tell you what is playing, when the system is talking you can then change the voice notification volume there too. If you really wanted to splash out you could get a new rear valance (the black part) that allows for a double exhaust and then a new rear portion with dual exits. Maxton make them but I'm not sure if they do them for the non ST cars.

The alarm going off is due to the manual unlocking. The car doesn't detect the immobiliser chip until the key is in the ignition so will give you about 10 seconds to put the key in or will sound the alarm. It's to protect against the locks being picked or forced. If the car gets the remote unlock signal from the key then it accepts the entry as legitimate. You can buy a new rcl circuit board and swap it over to the key case quite easily. Done it for friends a few times. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk

The battery going flat in the key wouldn’t make the alarm go off , it’s unusual to keep replacing batteries unless they are cheap unbranded ones . Pop in a new battery and it prob needs re programming to enable the remote central locking . If it still does work then you will have to buy a new remote and get it programmed

Went to work yesterday morning and forgot to bring a packet of cheese & onion crisps which were sitting on the kitchen counter worktop, Our daughter got these pictures of our dog Liam watching out the window while I drove away; he was trying to remind me about the crisps 😂 You forgot your crisps Len.. For anyone thinking of paying £25 for the sync loom that has a rca connector. Don’t waste your money. Just buy one of these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/274064387527 and add two pins into the connector yourself.

@Bannko Thanks again for the link and key to 3.10, file downloaded. I am still unsure how to go about enabling navigation. I know my navigation is not enabled, as seen in photo below. Having read a bit on different forums and watched some videos (mostly US though) I believe the steps I have to go through are: 1. Update sync to 3.10 (using your link) 2. Maybe install navigation app and/or patch (any links for that ? or further info) 3. Enable navigation using ODB2 ELM327and Forscan (any 4. Buy and install the map SD card (I believe F8 is latest ?) Good evening all 🙂 My name is Michael, 35 from North East Lincolnshire. I currently own a 2011 Focus estate Titanium in moondust silver, however yesterday I put a deposit down on a deep impact blue Zetec S estate which I'm excited to hopefully be collecting next week sometime. I need an estate car for my work and suitable for family etc, plus I'm a fan of the way the Focus estate looks, not so much the new ones though, they might grow on me 🤔 I'm losing a bit of spec with going from a Titanium to Zetec S, I'm happy to do that as I hardly use any of what the Titanium offers, and I love the appearance pack 2 that the Zetec S has. Some pics: (some are older ones before mods) I did a few things to it: • lowered 30mm • Autobeam LED bulbs all round • Autobeam new wing mirror sequential indicators • New rear 'Ford' badge • debadged tailgate • re painted calipers & hubs • 'Paintmodz' colour coded shark fin aerial • 'Paintmodz' colour coded washer jets I had plans to put the full Appearance pack bodykit on it along with 18's but I thought it's just a waste of money as I was never really keen on the silver and thought I'd keep an eye out for a facelift Focus with the pack already on 🙂 One finally came up locally and it is stunning! I'm delighted with it The car has done 54k miles, has FSH and 1 previous owner, I have a few plans for this so I'll update as I go along, hopefully pick it up this coming week 🤞 Michael.

We were all saying don't buy a modern diesel for owners who do short journeys to and from the shops etc not that long ago. Now don't buy a petrol for the same reasons. So it's best to buy an old classic petrol car with no gpf, dpf, cat , emmisions regulations , zero car tax and classic insurance of £80 a year. Lol result. The way forward .
