i am after my first escort, just passed me driving test last week, yes!

i seen a escort.

i like it alot, but should i go buy this?whats your view on this please?

As long as the body is ok, it drives well and all the numbers on the documents match on the car it looks to be a good little buy. They will most probably accept a £750-800 cash offer.

Too right they will pmsl, its only up for £695!!!

For that price, check theres no strange noises coming from the engine, usual checks for driveshaft knocking and CV joints. Rust normally shows on back arches. But new driver...£695 is enough to be spending on your first car to build that NCB. Hard to tell from pictures though, make sure you test drive it and take someone who knows cars if you dont know what where to check.

New battery fitted on 09/11/2009 at 93,830 miles by Kwik-Fit. Escort has a brand new unused 4th tyre in the boot.

If they had a new battery fitted, clearly they dont know much about maintaining cars and the spare 4th!!!! tyre is in the boot. Last time I saw one an escort had 4 tyres on the road!!!

im guessing your champing to get some wheels and get out there. But look around my friend 96000mles is pushing on . Theres gonna be a lot about in local papers , supermarket boards and such like. If you do get this speak to the garage who serviced it last they might shed light on some things the last owner forgot to mention (ahem).

sorry but the lx model does not have central locking,power steering or electric windows,my fiesta 1.25lx doesnt have these.

I only added the advert from e bay to show K7701 that theres alot of cars out there for the money he has.so dont rush in and buy the first you see just cause you want wheels. But to awnser your question they were available as optional extras at the time of purchase so perhaps the original purchaser had them fitted. where as your car didnt . !!!!

Looks to expencive to me wouldnt pay no more than £450 maybe £500 as its got full mot and tax but its has high miles,but then again a 1.4 could benefit young drivers

and the lx models do have electric windows and central locking ( well mine did )
