hawker
I've always had a "pinking" sound on acceleration since I bought my car 6 months ago. I recently had a cambelt and aux belt change and was given an advisory that there was movement in the bottom crankshaft pulley and needs replacing. I am getting this replaced tomorrow, another £170 Could this be the cause of the pinking sound? Also, I have since noticed a more "rasping" rattle sound when accelerating quite hard between 2K and 3K revs. I dont hear this rattle outside of this range, and is less noticeable within this rev range if accelerating gradually. Could this again be related to the pulley, or could this be something more sinister?
