stef123 Posted June 2, 2010 Share Posted June 2, 2010 with petrol you pull out a jerry can wack in the petrol and off you go but i hear you cant do thu with diesel? you would need to bleed the fuel system unless your car does this automatically. its not advisable to run any car out of fuel but especially a common rail diesel! the fuel you put in also acts as a lubricant for the high pressure fuel pump hence why putting petrol in a diesel is very costly!
