What he was saying is that the electronics that monitor the battery assume it'll respond in a particular way. If you fit a battery with different chemistry then it might be under/over-charged. I don't know what the original 43Ah capacity battery weighs, but looking on Halfords site, they show a Bosch 61Ah capacity battery when you select a Fiesta. That battery weighs under 15kg.
