High everyone, I have a problem with my 1.8 Zetec 2002. When i drive in any gear hot or cold and accelerate i get a kind of spluttering/jumping with loss of power. Sometimes if you feather the throttle it goes away but as soon as you drop speed then accelerate again the problem comes back? The engine warning light has now come and am not sure where to go from here. I have heard coil pack O2 sensor new fuel filter anybody got a clue about this?? Any help much appreciated before i go and buy anything!!

you are best to get the fault codes read, which should pinpoint the problem better and save you money in the longrun by only replaceing whats necessary.

I have got someone with a computer to read it and it is coming up with oxygen sensor.

Would this cause the car to jump and the engine warning light to come on?

Does anyone know the best place to get one?

Cheers for your help guys

Lambda/oxygen sensors control the air/fuel ratio. It measuires the Oxigen levels in the exhaust gas and "tells" the ECU how to adjust the mixture. i always go with ford sensor as some aftermarket ones are not up to the job.
