Apart from common smax known problems I am not aware of any model specific problem for this engine. Users are often seeing "service required" message on the computer display, but that is mostly related to the DPF (particle filter) which needs regeneration every so and so miles especially when been driven short distances.

But how do I know if I've got a DPF? The handbook is ridiculously vague in this area.
