Richmond Rossi
Hi all, new to this site as I have just purchased a 2008 1.6 TDCI C Max. :) I have been looking at various topics regarding issues with these engines as I am having a couple myself. Quite a lot of horror stories regarding prices of parts that seem to go wrong on a regular basis. ;) I also own a 2007 BMW convertible that dosnt see the light of day very much, Im always working, and when im not its raining Anyway, I will have lots of questions, so please go easy on me, I am no mechanic, but can find my way around if shown the correct way. :D Thanks for now

Richmond Rossi
Thanks for the welcome, :) I have no pics of the car to upload at the moment, can just to say drag myself up to use the car to be honest, as I have so many issues with it at present I havnt the will to take any. To cut a long story short, I have bought a LEMON. I have only had the car 3 weeks, and it has the usual faults, Engine Malfunction, it wont drive, starts OK, can rev it stood still, but as soon as you put it under load it stalls, engine malfunction. I know it can be a number of issues, Camshaft,or Crankshaft sensor, fuel pump, fuel filter. The annoying part is that I know the car has been clocked big style after checking the service history but the guy I bought the car off (trading from home), is denying everything and I dont want to go down the small claims/trading standards route, would rather keep trouble from my door (seemed like a nice chap at the time) but after a couple of phone conversations his attitude has changed (you will get nowt off me) ;) Anyway, ya learn by your mistikes. (very exspensive ones) . By the way, could anyone point me in the right direction of the location of the camshaft position sensor on a 2008 1.6 TDCI, cant find it, ive tried google but it is only showing the mondeo which is at the front of the engine, im assuming mine is at the rear but cant find it, pics would be good, Sorry for the rather large story Many thanks in anticipation. :)
