Bluetooth, No Network Connection?

I have a 2011 fiesta titanium, with bluetooth connectivity. I have added all my contacts using the voice activation system and connected my phone which is a Sony Ericsson xperia arc s. I try to make a call using the voice activation button and it keeps saying no network connection, but yet people can still phone into the car during this time. Can anyone give me any idea of the problem and any solution?
