Focus 2003 Rear Brake Light Problem.

I have a focus Lx 2003 auto, the rear near side brake light is non operational when brake depressed, but the tail lights are not affected, I have replaced the bulbs still the same result, any help much appreciated.

It would be worth checking the fuses as the brake lights are fused individually

The brake lights are fed from one fuse -F54 (15A) in the glove box panel so you're best off checking the bulb holder for corrosion and the wiring for breaks and shorting.

I had the same on my old mk1 the holder looked fine but i replaced it with one from a scrappy and that solved the issue if all else fails
