superbees
Hi i recently brought a ford focus and im have trouble getting hold of the correct colour paint the paint code on the plate in the engine bay says k2 which is smokestone and my car is clearly a dark blue metallic i also checked on the ford etis with my chassis number and it says my paint is magnum grey which is clearly wrong so i just need to find the correct paint for my car which is clealy a dark mettalic blue and help identifying my paint colour would be very appreciated. Hyrule
See here: http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/12544-ford-focus-colour-matching-help/ Me personally I get a couple touch up spray cans, one magnum grey, one a dark metallic blue, and see which matches the best. Just spray on a bit of cardboard.
Stoney871
K2 is magnum grey metallic so your car plate and etis match up. (K is the colour and 2 is the year of introduction of the colour) Go to Halfords, they do very accurate colour matched touch-up packs and rattle cans. superbees
Many thanks for all the reply's I did go to my ford dealership and they were confused as they put in my reg and chassis and come up with magnum grey metallic which cleary is the wrong colour as it is a gunmetal grey colour and my car is clearly dark blue. There does seem to be a problem with this colour as when i googled loads of people having the same problem# but after some more research i can confirm the correct colour is moonstone k2 for years 1990-2005 so the paint code is correct it is just the ford etis system is in correct.
