tartan_rob
I have a 2004 sportka. The heater blows hot all the time. The fan speed controller works fine. I have changed the Heater valve thing under the bonnet and the heater control panel. I even checked the variable resistor and it runs from 0-10k ohms smoothly. When plugged into car, it smoothly runs the voltage from 0-5v (which sounds right for a control panel). Yet the voltage at the heater valve constantly remains around 12v. Any thoughts? Gabbo_21
Have you checked that the heater control valve actually responds. I know from experience that a lot of 3rd party pattern parts fail easily. Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
tartan_rob
I bought a new part from ford and before I swapped the pattern part for the original I checked the voltage coming from the wiring. It remained constant around 12v. At this point I think the voltage to the sensor is the issue... Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
