octoba
Hi recently got this car and i tried my old head unit and it worked but while doing this a short accured. i switched off car and checked the fuses both on car and radio and they both are ok. after a slight tug around i noticed two cable's were loose 1 from a new harness i just purchased and other from a connector block. so i re:connected them and installed a new connector block on harness and now the head unit old and new one i just purchased neither work. when i connect the standard ford head unit that does work. i'm out of idea's ,initially it worked and i don't think i left anything not connected. unless the black cable "on right in picture"is part of the stereo wiring. thx
artscot79
Depending on the stereo you got they don't all connect the same way for example when I did mine on my old mk1 on the new connector I had to swap the red and black wires around so you'll need to look at the ford wiring and compare to the new stereo wiring
