Ashbecker
Hi people! new to the forum but have lurked for a while. I've read many threads on the above problem and tried many of the fixes but none have worked. Basically the front jets work and the pump can be heard when the rear washer jet is engaged at the stalk but not water comes out. I have removed the spoiler and removed the rear washer tubing from the rear washer jet and engaged the rear washer at the stalk, again no liquid comes out so have ruled a clogged jet out. There are no obvious leaks in the boot or cabin so not suspecting a broken tube. There is also no obvious leak under the washer bottle area under the bonnet. I confirmed this by removing the wheel arch (following Spencer Cottles YouTube vid) and looking for signs of water. I didn't go any further at this point as I didn't have a replacement pump. Am I right in saying that If the filter at the pump was clogged then all washer jets shouldn't work so I have ruled this out. I have also agitated the water in the bottle to look for signs of gunk but couldn't see any. Has anyone any ideas as to my next step? Cheers in advance! Stoney871
Try giving the washer pipe a good long blast with a can of compressed air, I recommend the air duster sprays used to blow out computers. I recommend the Fellowes brand as it seems a more powerful spray than others. Available from Staples or computer shops.
Chris_pickford94
They have separate filters for rear and front as far as I know Had the same problem with my old one when I bought it and the garage sorted it by cleaning the filter Think the easiest way to get to it is to remove the wheel and arch liner Hope this helps (y) Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
