Minikar
Hi everyone, my name is Karen and I'm looking to get a Fiesta. I just wanted some opinions and advice on which model. I currently own a Mini Cooper and I'm really going to miss it as it's a brilliant car, so why are you selling I hear you ask :-) well I have been suffering with a shoulder impingement for about 6 years and driving my car with quite heavy steering and hard gear changes it has caused a problem. I decided that an automatic was the way to go, I did consider buying a Nissan Juke (I know don't give me too much grief, lol) as I do like the look of them, so now I've come back to my original choice, a Fiesta. So I have been looking at a Titanium or a Titanium x but I'm a bit concerned about the keyless entry on the x model, how do you guys find it? I'm trying to decide if a 1.6 engine would be better or a ecoboost, which has more oomph? I guess I will have to test drive some myself at the end of the day because I may also try a manual as this should be a lot easier gear changes than my Mini. Sorry for the long post but any opinions good or bad would be much appreciated. Thanks Karen
MattDRX
The Ecoboost has very light steering, however I'm unsure if they do an autobox on them, rest of people on here will advise if they do. However the Juke is a very good car, people slate the look of them but fact is it's pretty damn good for the money, just a touch more than a Fiesta but they hold their money quite well. If buying new look at private lease firms like agateway2lease, generally they are much cheaper than Frauds and even Nissans own deals, a Juke DCI with Nav is something like £156PM with under £1k down, stupidly cheap. ianincheshire
So I have been looking at a Titanium or a Titanium x but I'm a bit concerned about the keyless entry on the x model, how do you guys find it? My wife's 1.0 Ecoboost Titanium has keyless entry ( it was an in stock car with it already fitted ) , she was apprehensive about it, as was I. However she loves it now, she just keeps the key in her handbag!. She especially loves the ability to walk up to the car with a load of shopping and open the hatch without having to mess around trying to find a key. however I'm unsure if they do an autobox on them There's a Powershift option on the Ecoboost model http://www.whatcar.com/car-news/ford/fiesta-hatchback/2014-ford-fiesta-10t-ecoboost-powershift-review/1281018
Stoney871
One of My neighbours has a 2014 Fiesta EcoBoost and it has an auto box. He bought it as he recently had a stroke and drives it fine with reduced strength on one side of his body.

Minikar
Hi , you can get auto for sure , make sure you get the 125ps version ecoboost Yes I have seen autos on the ecoboost but there's not many out there, well there are some but I guess I'm being too picky, I wanted Titanium, 3 door and in white :-) Yes I was looking at getting the 125ps, is that what you have? Are they quite nippy then?
AllenP
Karen, I bought my Fiesta Titanium X automatic in September 2014. It has the Powershift box and 100 Ecoboost engine. I was under the impression that the 125 ps was not available with the Powershift box. I had to give up driving manual vehicles when I developed weakness in my left leg. The Tit X is quite well Alex's but I included full leather, satnav, city safe and front parking sensors. The rear parking sensors and camera were fitted as were retracting mirrors. The car drives brilliantly and accessibility to rear seats with the 5 door is good. The car has keyless entry which is brilliant but I am considering purchasing a visible steering lock should I have to leave the car in a dodgy area. The automatic transmission allows D(dive), S(holds lower gears for longer) and Manual. Supplemented by cruise control the car can be driven to get good response. Auto lights and wipers make the driving experience relaxed with as much or little driver input that you want. Niggles which are probably common to all other Fiestas include lack of grab handles by doors to assist in getting out and the absence of automatic locking when car is in motion. Hope these impressions help.
