Focus Driver Thinks He Is A Bike Rider?

Had an odd one last night.

Doing 70mph with the cruise control on, I slowly close up on an Mk1 Focus. I indicate to come out and over take (still at 70 to his 65 or so) and get my nose along side. As I do this he drops his window down and gives me revving motorcycle gesture then speeds up taking my space away.

I drop in behind him (I'm not interested in playing games) when he slows down to 60mph on me. A bit annoyed, I over take with a bootfull this time and leave him behind me. I go back to 70 but he stays back behind me at a distance.

Have I missed something here?? Did he want a race? Or is he confused with his rude gestures? My Focus looks like a ST in drag but he wouldn't have know what it was from the front. It's got DRL's and the front lower grille of the Zetec S.

The world is full of them. unfortunately I think most of them stay around my area.

Its amazing the difference in what you drive makes. I can go out in the Mondeo. very seldom a problem on the road. maybe the odd time someone in a rush wants past. but do so within the legal limits, safely etc. we have probably all did that.

But it seems as soon as I take the ST out every Richard head wants to sit on my back bumper revving their engine pulling out onto the other lane so you see them.

Thinking their wee 1.1 Fiesta / Corsa / Peageot is going to leave you sitting. all you can hear over the noisy exhaust is a rattling camshaft or valves off the engine which makes you wonder just how often they rev the guts out their poor cars.

Think Mark is right in what he said though. It must be down to inbreeding. Next time it happens to you. have a right good look at them, they all have that really stupid look about them, honestly every one of them have the same dumb looking nearing cockeyed bottom lip dripping with something look.
