Air Hostess
As you all may recall,a couple of months ago,I replaced the gear lever and handbrake gaiters with black leather ones that had red stitching, well when i changed the interior to full grey leather, the black ones seemed a little out of place. So after seaching the net and had received a lot of promised help and phone calls that never arrived,i eventually found someone on eBay that actually made me a pair of custom coloured gearlever/handbrake gaiters in grey leather with grey stitching to match the interior of my car,not quite an exact match......... but close enough, and he didnt charge me any extra than the normal price for making me this custom coloured set,WHAT a result..so i also purchased some grey velour fully fitted mats to go with it all. So here are a few pics ime really pleased with the final result. (you will notice on this handbrake gaiter ,it covers the full length of the lever not just halfway as the other one did) Kristal

Air Hostess
Good work Kristal! What was the ebay username of the person that did that for you? Your recommendation is as good as any feedback! Hi Miles,i got them from Top Gaiters, lots of e-mails back and forth and a picture of the cars interior to try and get the colour right,he was answering my e-mails usually within 10 minutes of sending them you can phone him if you want, numbers on his web/Ebay or i may have it here somewhere. but beware that most people call the mk6 facelift a mk7..so you will need to make sure you say mk8 or latest version i guess (we know there isnt a MK8 but most seem to think there is) Kristal
Air Hostess
Very nice colour scheme going on.Anything is better than the standard gaitor, i absolute HATE it Anything else interior wise planned? trying to get a grey leather gear shift knob or possibly a polished walnut wood, have seen walnut dash inserts but only for the earlier pre facelift with the 3 part stereo so will keep looking scuff/kickplates........ as getting in and out with hi-heels on and wearing a skirt you have to lift your legs a little higher than is decent when you get out, so as not to scratch the sill with the heels of your shoes (ime sure you dont have this trouble ) have seen an Engine Start Button kit.but not sure about that yet as it looks a little cheezy definatly an extra luggage compartment lamp glove box lamp and possibly footwell lamps (again not sure yet)

The engine start button would look good in place of the boot release button (if you have one) And no i dont seem to have thoose problems , keep us posted :D
