Focus 1.8 TDCi lift pump failure

Hi there. Baught a 55 plate focus ghia saloon 1.8 TDCi duratorq as a project 4 days ago as a non runner.

I used the trip computer to lift codes A103 & 9318

9318 im not concerned about because it is a low battery voltage code

A103 is the one that gets me. Apparently after half hour of looking the code equals to b2103 according to google wich means tranciever fault or airel not connected. After a bit of looking apparently the ignition barrel reader for the keys has gone. But I know the car can read the keys due to the immobiliser light acting normally.

Me being me I didnt stop there. After tinkering on with a few mates I realised my low pressure pump is dead as a dodo. I fed diesel into the High Pressure pump with a bottle and a bit of fishtank airpump tube and still nothing. I even tested the wires and the bulb I plugged into the pump connector came on once I turned the key

The car only cranks for 1-2 secs untill it stops cranking itself even with my hand still holding the key in the start position. The car is taking the fuel as the pipe empties after every crank but im at a loss.
