goldtail77
OK, so I get my 2015 Mondeo Estate tomorrow. I have a set of older Mondeo alloys, with 205/55R16 winter tyres on them. These were used on my Focus, last year. The question is do I sell them and get a new set or will they be fine on the Mondeo? I don't have any concerns with the wheels, they should be fine. It's the tyres. My car will Have 235/50R17. Would anyone worry about going to a smaller 205/55R16 when it should probably be 205/60R16? If I keep them I'll probably dial in and change the tyre size in Elmconfig, which should sort the Speedo out.
pragmatix
I run the same size 16's in winter and have no problems on my MK4 I run 235/45/17 in the summer, the main problem will be do the old wheels clear the brake Calipers, my winter wheels came of my old MK3 .Acoording to this https://tiresize.com/comparison/ there is a 4 mph undergrad at 70. goldtail77
Thanks. I get my OBDII tomorrow and will check what wheel\tyre options I can set it to. Your summers are a little lower profile than mine, not sure if the whole wheel ratio changed from MK4 to 5. Just over 5% of a difference using your link with the smaller wheels. I'll probably be ok, just a little paranoid :)
