Is this possible?

On the standard Mk 2 lights the indicator part is clear so would it be possible to put a red led strip or bulb in there to to give a RS style?

Cheers

Altering an E Marked road legal tail lights unit could void your insurance which is not good particularly if you were completely not at fault in the incident.

I've created a Guide on fitting RS tail lights to the Mk2.5

They also fit the Mk2 with a slight alteration in loom plugs; you have to fit the mk2 tail light plugs to the mk2.5 tail light units.

You could just buy the RS rear lights and fit them. You need the tail light connectors from a facelift / MK2.5, wired into your original loom. Easy peasy. I did on my old mk2, looked awesome.

Around 60-120GBP from breakers on eBay

or

280GBP and two week waiting list if purchasing from sandicliffe shop uk as there made to order from ford factory in Germany,

Sandicliffe shop is where I bought mine new they were cheaper than Ford directly at the time, I'll update this post with here's a link to latest price from German specialist as sandicliffe shop doesn't seem to be active:http://www.european-parts.net/product_info.php?info=p835_led-taillights-focus-mk2-fl08.html

Yea go have a look on eBay. At the time I got mine from eBay, then went to a breakers and got the connectors for £10. It's pennies for such a good mod like, it'll completely transform your rear end. Do it. Now.

They help ensure the people your racing can still see your tail lights far ahead in the distance 😁 so they know your not in a field somewhere; you really are that far ahead of them👍
