ADBS65
My 2014 Fiesta EcoBoost has developed a problem with the fuel gauge showing full all the time regardless of fuel level in tank. With ignition off gauge shows empty but ignition on goes to full. I imagine the sender may be stuck? If not any suggestions please. I have disconnected/reconnected battery but no difference and tried banging tank from underneath with my fist after I ran out of fuel! I removed rear seat to access the pump/sender but there is a layer of what looks like mastic or sealant that is covering what looks like a possible access cover. It is going to be difficult to chip off. Is it tank out job to fix this problem and is that difficult. thanks in advance for any advice regards Andy
Bobr
Can't answer your question but my advice would be to keep your display on 'distance to empty' all the time until you get it fixed.
ADBS65
Eventually bit the bullet and took to the garage, as I cannot rely on the miles to empty readout as it falls off a cliff after 50 miles. Seems i needed a new fuel sender and pump. Ouch! fixed now though :-)
