Clutch replacement help

Hi i have a ford fiesta 1.6 tdci econetic 2010 and thinking of changing my clutch how hard would the job be to do at home on jack stands thanks

Depends what your level of experience is and how big your toolkit is. I wouldn't exactly recommend to try it if the biggest job you've done is change your brake discs and pads lol.

Your biggest problem is going to be raising the car high enough whilst supporting the engine and gearbox, and having enough space to move the gearbox out. It will be a 2 person job, multiple trolley jacks, plenty of time.

I've helped someone do it before on a MK1 KA, its a small car and the gear box is light enough, personally I wouldn't attempt it on my Fiesta unless I had a workshop with decent equipment.

It costs £489 RRP at Ford, for peace of mind I'd have them do it.

The Ka bay is cramped and horrible to work on, more space in the Fiesta engine bay!

I've done several clutches on my own with one trolley jack, one scissor jack and one pair or stands.  As Luke says though, it depends what experience & knowledge you have so far.

If you have one of those engine bars that goes in the channels of the wings then this takes the weight

and less jacks under the car ☺️
