Phozy888
Hi Guys, My Radiator fan broke 馃槥 so I have now replaced it after purchasing a new one from GSF car parts. I was driving today and the overheating light came on. I had my A/C turned on which I then switch off. After about 10 mins the light went away. I have now checked that when I turn on the A/C the fan doesnt actually spin. Should this be spinning when the A/C is on ? if so, what can cause it not to work. The air blowing when the A/C is on is actually cold. Thanks聽
Phozy888
ah just tested again, this time without A/C on and it still overheats and throws a overheating light. I unplugged the coolant sensor at the thermostat and still the fan doesnt come on. I'm now thinking it maybe a dead fan. Any other ideas before I pull the fan out for a replacement, Also checked fuse 20 under dash and looks good. Should have mentioned in my title its a MK1 2006
Phozy888
took the fan out this morning and applied 12v to it directly and works. I have also check the 3 relays at the engine bay and they seem to be working ok too. anyone ??聽
