Hi there,

i have an 18 plate ST-Line X, the automatic updates don't seem to work atol, it just scans forever and doesnt do anything, when i update it using a memory stick that doesnt seem to work either - it will say its done the update then it doesnt put the log file onto the memory stick for me to upload to the website to update the records.

A bit stuck with it all and wonder if anyone has any help or if others are experiencing the same issues?

Thanks

WiFi updates don't work in the UK (maybe all of Europe).

If it's a map update it won't log a file, only system updates do.

regarding the "log" file bottom of the update page:

Having trouble getting a log file generated for your SYNC 3 update? Please follow below steps:
  1. Download this package (ZIP 44KB) and extract it on a USB stick (the USB stick needs to in ex-fat format)
  2. Enter your vehicle and switch on the engine
  3. When Sync 3 is fully loaded, insert the USB stick
  4. Wait until an “installation complete” message appears (it may take approximately 1 minute). This should now have produced a new log file
  5. Return to your PC and complete your update by uploading the log file onto the Ford website
