Jay035
I'm sure I'm not imaging things but recently have noticed that at relatively low speeds the steering feels heavy and that is a light judder when turning the wheel right as I accelerate... but this goes away when I pick up speed. Has anyone experienced this issue? Edited December 22, 2019 by Jay035 Error
Jay035
Does the mk4 use power steering fluid? I believe the system is electric and not hydraulic
Guy Heaton
Turn it to full lock and hold for a few seconds. If you can hear fluid transfer then you'll know.
TomsFocus
Fully electric on both Mk3 & Mk4 Focus EcoBoosts, no fluid. I'd check tyre pressures are all identical first. But as you're still well within warranty, next step should be a dealer inspection really.
Jay035
Problems with steering Door protector that's broken Seatbelt fastening warning that hasn't been corrected despite 2 times me leaving the car at the dealer, with the last visit resulting a scratch across the dashboard (dealer admitted liability once 'I' pointed it out). This is my first ford and probably my last I'm already thinking to exchange this car for a Civic or a Leon
