New Fiesta - paint warranty - online says 1 year check, dealership says no

Wondering if anyone has had the yearly bodywork checks on their new car to ensure the vehicle's perforation warranty is maintained to Fords stipulations?

My mum purchased a new fiesta March 19 and at the time I asked the salesman the procedure but was told that the paintwork would only be checked when the car was in for it's 1st service at 2 years.

Having read the warranty online Ford state 'ensure that the body panels are examined annually, preferably by a Ford Authorised Dealer and that the results of the check are recorded in the vehicle's body and paint record to maintain the vehicle's perforation warrany'

Called the local dealership today but told it does not get done until the 1st service - will this not invalidate the perforation warranty?

Any advice appreciated 🙂

I have a March 18 Fiesta and it has a 3 year paint warranty (10year perforation) with a check every 2 years according to the service book.
