I've just posted the pic on a local Facebook page. According to a pal of mine on the island it went to, it's 8 years old and cost £52k!!! It was over £90k when it was new! 😲

Actually saw a fiesta ST500 today. I remember seeing one with 90k miles going for around £2000 only 5 miles away from home. That's actually cheap for what I've seen over ones going for. All with more mileage than this one was going from around £3k and over. If I had the money I would of bought it and sell it for more.

Similar trick works with kettles.  Even if you have half the white cliffs of Dover in your kettle, couple of boils with white vinegar and it'll be like brand new

I don't own a kettle. 😮 Really should try some vinegar on the taps though, I recently bought some LimeLite as it was on offer...it's too weak to even make a dent in the scale though!

On the subject of limescale & water hardness though, does anyone know if it can change noticeably?  Over the last week or so I've noticed a lot less lather from liquid handsoap...thought it was just a dodgy batch of soap but I've tried a different brand and found the same thing.  Seem to need more fairy liquid for the dishes as well.  Can't work out if I'm imagining it or if the water has suddenly become even harder than before...  

 

I ended up buying a cheap shower head from Home Bargains for £3.49 yesterday as it's within walking distance...  It works about as well as you'd expect a £3.49 shower head to work.

Nope,  I literally just drink water!  It's cheap, sugar free, caffeine free and doesn't damage teeth or bodies.  

Never could understand why anyone would spend 10 minutes faffing about mixing ingredients to make a drink that is then too hot to consume for another 10 minutes.   If I want a drink, I just turn on the tap or open a bottle from the fridge and have one within 30 seconds rather than 20 minutes...  I know I'll be in the minority with this!  

On this subject though, I was recommended mint tea for my stomach & bowel issues.  I found out Tetley make 'Cold Infusions' which is tea that you can brew in a glass of cold water.  Still seems a waste of 10 minutes to me and it was very expensive but I thought it might be worth a try if it does help...  How wrong I was... 😮  I didn't like the taste so only had about 100mm of it...  Over the next 3 hours, about 3 days worth of 5h1t shot out of my ars3, along with a load of gas and mucous...  The cramps and gurgling continued for hours after and I felt nauseous, lightheaded and wobbly for the next day or so...   Needless to say I've not tried any more and will just stick to water!

I'm not a hot drinks person myself. I've been drinking a lot of vimto now. As you have to dilute it your drinking water. Have you tried probiotics? I tried some and actually felt like it soothed my stomach. I'm very cautious about my stomach and for some reason I fear about feeling sick outside but this stuff kind of has brought some confidence. I still take a alka settler when I go out incase the unexpected happens.

That said, I suspect the spoiler and diffuser on my ST do very little. And I say that as someone who loves the styling, but also has a degree in aeronautical engineering and is the owner of another car that does have working aero...

I have tried probiotics when they're on offer occasionally but not noticed any improvement.  Just a considerable increase in frequency and smell of gas... fortunately I live alone!

Funny you mention it though as I have got some Activia on my shopping list for tomorrow...the low fat Museli one is on offer in Tesco so I'm going to give that a go.

I don't really understand what's happening with my insides lately tbh, both stomach and bowel issues seem to have got worse lately (last 6 months or so) and I'm not really coping with it at all.  I'm not eating anything unusual etc.  The Doctor basically said it's just general IBS and reflux and that there's not much more I can do about it than I already am, just have to try and live with it.

But that's easier than said done when I've got major phobias around illness & injury and OCD that constantly plays on those phobias.

So for now I've just got to keep fooling myself that something might change for the better and using humour as a distraction from life.

Celebration or Anni would be my preference too!  Never have liked the 500 with the fake carbon and the bonnet moustache!

I do like hearing today;

The rule has been implemented for our County in Ireland to use only smokeless coal, 

We don't have a real fire in our home, we blocked it up three years ago and capped the chimney; but all of the surrounding houses do and I hate the smell which lingers outside in the winter evenings. 

Thankfully there now switching to smokeless which should help a bit.

I don't like the title of the episode though as it's called Funeral for a Ford.

The most recent episode was quite entertaining despite its basic story line of the three lads driving across desert wasteland for the entire episode in a custom built naturally aspirated diesel 4x4 which hammond wasn't allowed to drive 😀

They don't seem to have the budget they once had though.

I'll be watching it at 11pm Thursday night and then playing the game on the PS4 not long after.

Yes, it was a fun episode to watch, especially as we know Clarkson doesn't do "manual labour" and they had to work together to make it happen.

The budget often gets blown within a few episodes so some are of lesser quality than others. 
It has been renewed for a fourth season though so who knows what that will bring.
