It's easy to slag china off for it's green credentials, and yes it's a massive polluter , but I'm lead to believe that if you go by population it fairs much better than the global north, and by land mass too.

Isn't that like saying Scotland is a much greener country than England, because they have a huge landmass compared to the 5 million folk that live there? 😁

Probably, but the Tories don't think it's good for our economy, that's why they have a virtual ban on land based wind farms, and made such a great economic decision on offshore, not one single bid on the new licenses.

Cheap green energy is bad for the UK, what we need is ever increasing cost of  foreign gas and oil.

I take it back about not having friends ref the bubble car, advert says room for 2 adults a 3 crates of beer. Win win.

As a person of Scottish descent, I must admit that I resemble that remark! Fortunately we have an ample supply of single malt Scotch to gird us against the terrible winds from our meager dietary choices!

'Hotrod' V8 pickup running hydrogen 😎

Excellent post Kevin. Quite possibly the best yet. It goes to show just what krapp is out there in the Internet with so called experts saying "oh no hydrogen just can't and won't work". Well to those doubting Thomas's go home and never ever go out or go on the Internet.

@tazzman600 for the sake of clarity etc I've not watched the whole thing yet. Just thought I would post it here and I would know where to find it again! 😀 it's an age thing! 🙄

This video is so sad. When you think of all the £ Billions that government/industry has squandered on redundant EV technology, where a fraction of it could have been invested in hydrogen technology, really does prove how dumb mankind can be...

The video isn't sad Stephen. It's the rubbish the worlds governments have done. Probably financed by hydrogen negative companies etc etc etc.

Kevin. I thoroughly enjoyed that video. The engineer is a genius and oh so experienced in the auto industry. Blimey 25 years as a top knob in Chevrolet. And many many years as an engineer. Do watch it all m8. Its brilliant.

Oh Kevin. Don't say it's an age thing. I'm 4 years and 4 days Older than you lol. I thought I was going doolally but No Way. Neither should you buddy.

Yes. But how would the Elites have been able to afford their multiple fabulous homes and other things if they didn’t have the steady graft,…Er I mean passive income from the government subsidies?

They are happy to take your money on all the other goods that originate from China  that you may buy instead.

They are. I don't blame the Chinese, btw, but all the owners of Western brands who decided to increase profit, reduce employment and hollow out manufacturing capacity by outsourcing production.

Likewise Western governments who have been happy to outsource the associated emissions.

Excellent point Eric. I know of a professional model car maker who manufactured everything inhouse sourcing the work out to China purely for cost effectiveness.

That has happened to far too many companies here. A major reason would be the high wage bill for these companies and basically a lazy workforce working to rule and not for the long term benefit of the company.

Obviously see a demand for the cable for some folk. But most cars come with that type of cable from new. Also most home chargers I've seen fitted are the tethered type so yet again not required.

Mine is tethered and clips up out the way after

Some Muppets who lost there cable I'm guessing. Some plug in hybrids don't include that cable and supply a granny charger. The ford Kuga is one of those. They used to when first released but couple of years ago they stopped supplying this.  Cost cutting as the ford cable was rather pricey.

I can imagine quite a few will charge up their EV at a public charger using their own cable and once done they drive off leaving  the cable still plugged in to the charger !!

A bit like those who drive off from the petrol station with the hose still attached, but in reverse 🤣
