Some of the "thermal incidents " other manufacturers are dealing with do have some odd ways to alleviate the problem. Not mentioning the brand for obvious reasons.

 Reminds me of the phase we went through at work - instead of "mistakes" we had "learning opportunities". Too many "learning opportunities" still earned a boll*cking, though!

Car fires are nothing new, I had a Rover SD1 that set light in the circuit board in the boot, luckily the quick fix was to pull it turn it round and put it back, lasted long enough to get you home.

Some manufactures seem to think a petrol fuel leak being diverted to the floor is a fix.

37 x 1000 x £1million = what UK government squandered on a useless track & trace system. That's about £3000 for every tax payer.

So guys, if you're in the market for a new car in the next few years (likely longer when '2030' is pushed back), fill your boots with a proper combustion engine!

I would take the advice of another YouTube guy who has issues with the new scheme that the mayor is rolling out to impose taxes on people that register combustion engine vehicles driven in London. Just register the vehicle in the name of the Mayor! Then he will get the tax bill! The person driving the vehicle will get the other costs. I think that is just brilliant.

Well to be honest I didn't but that might have been due to being a little tired. The hotel I stayed at last night had some guys from Eire staying who felt the need to fire their 'non-EV's' up at 5:30AM directly outside my bedroom 🤣

That EV charger kiosk would have been a great place to plug in some hot pots for hot dogs (bangers) and chili, you know, something people might want or need and can afford!

Parties urged not to fight over climate change action

A government adviser and former Shell economist [Steven Fries] has warned politicians against making climate change action into a "wedge issue".
"The UK has done a  very good job in keeping climate change and decarbonisation to be[ing] a cross party issue. It's very important that all political parties in the UK and elsewhere resist going down the path of turning this into a wedge issue or a divisive issue for society".

Does this idiot know the meaning of the word democracy, because make no mistake he is openly suggesting the political parties should collude and  not give the population of this country, or any other country, any say in a major issue which will significantly affect how they live their lives.

Utterly outrageous.
