Now I didn't know that !!

So what is the situation if you want to take your Caravan or  if Ms Sturgeon wants to take her Motorhome through the EuroTunnel. Many of those will be carrying bottled Butane ?

We were allowed to have cans of fuel in the back of a van sloshing about when we went through the tunnel.

You're also allowed to carry oxygen canisters through the tunnel if needed for medical reasons.

Slightly off topic, i remember watching one of the war buildings documentary things, and the germans built a massive factory to produce fuel from coal or such if memory serves, but only got minimal amounts and nowhere near enough for their needs at the time. Same as bio fuel which also hasnt really taken off.

Anyone watch “Geoff buys cars” Channel on YouTube?

He posted a commentary about the latest EV shipping fiasco titled “1 lost life and many injured in EV related cargo ship fire”.

He brings up several salient points.

Yes, if you click the link I posted above, you'll see that @unofix did indeed post it yesterday...

The coastguard back tracked a bit after the initial EV comment and later said it was unknown where the fire started , unless there's been an update since then?

There's 4300 electric Volvo hgv trucks on the roads . All the talk has been about Tesla's trucks while Volvo and the other manufacturers  are quietly getting on with producing EV trucks.

Yes, they were featured in one of the many tv programmes there have been on the subject of EVs, pretty impressive they were too.

I don't understand folk relying on a dumb range computer in their car. Work out in the real world what your actual MPG is, then use your odometer to make sure you don't run out of fuel...

Mine does what it says on the tin.

This morning I watched a video on TalkTV (exclusive, can't find it on general release) of a masked man removing one of the new London ULEZ cameras, worth about £7000, in about 30 seconds. Of course I do not condone the crime, but it was beautiful to watch...
