selwynha
Hi all Fitted second hand door locking solenoid to 2003 1.4tdi and it locks really positively but won't open using the remote key - have to open it manually 馃槥 Is anyone aware of a wiring diagram or test procedure for the door solenoids? Many thanks
TomsFocus
Is it the same fault as the previous lock solenoid?聽 Is it just this door that won't lock?聽 Sounds like a broken wire in the chassis-to-door loom to me.

Thanks for the reply, the previous lock solenoid was locking fine but struggling intermittently to open, so basically working better than the replacement I've used which doesn't unlock at all. Perhaps the wiring was on the way out and it's now completely broken when I changed the solenoid which did entail disconnecting the door plug - you may be onto something there. I'll go and check the wiring out. It would be nice to see a wiring diagram so that I know which single wire to check and repair. Thanks again
Paulkp
Just made a post in "Fiesta", but where the loom flexes in the "A" post - hinge area is a known POF.
