Focus 2019 EML light

Hello. The engine management light came on my focus 2019 for a few days and now it’s gone. Do I still need to take it into the dealer?

Depends if you'd like to be charged £80 for a 5 minute job that you can do yourself after buying a £20 lead, and a downloading some free software on a laptop.

If the EML has been on it's likely one or more codes have been stored. As Luke says for a lot less than you'd pay a garage to read the codes you can get a free download of Forscan and a modified ELM327 cable and read them yourself, and you've then always got the kit for use in the future.

If you don't have a laptop there is a version of Forscan that works on Android devices with a bluetooth OBD adaptor but this version is not free and doesn't have the full functionality of the wired setup.
