One problem following the update to F10 maps was that the xml file generated at the end of the install was not valid. Uploading this xml file to the Ford website did not remove the new message that a new map is available. To fix this I downloaded the Interrogator_AD.zip found under troubleshooting on the Ford Sync update website, unzipped it to a memory stick and put the stick in the car. After a few seconds this generates a new, valid xml file which I uploaded to the Ford website and it now says that my software and maps are up to date.

F10.

I downloaded it, installed it, the message that the installation is complete appeared, but still it shows F9 as map version.

Then part I is finished, just turn off car, get out of car, close doors, wait some time and then get in car again and start car again, then it will start again and then normally u have F10.

but it didn't complete properly

Those don't look like the correct file names for an F10 map up date. Sync thinks that it has completed because it has created the .xml file which is the last step of the process but the xml file name usually included the car's VIN number (you might have left this out of the list above deliberately?).

I will check this evening to see if I can find out what those files are. 

I'm almost certain that the files on your stick only update the Sync software to Build 20204_PRODUCT. They don't update the map at all which is why the version has not changed from F9. 

Once the software update is confirmed by you uploading the xml file to the Ford website where you downloaded the software update you should then be offered a map update.

You should get a screen with two sections on the right hand side. A software update section at the top and a map update section below it. I can't show you a picture because mine is up to date so won't allow me to download it again.

I think that you have downloaded the software update, not the map update (which is much bigger, over 20Gb).

It is about the map not the software. Yhe map is about 24gb.

So, is the zip file that you have downloaded about 24Gb and does it use a bit more than 24Gb when you have unzipped it to the USB stick?

I think so. It cant complete properly the installation. It says that it is complete but it still shows F9 is map version. It also doesnt show the key circle message.

Ok, I've checked my download history.

The list of files that you posted above is definitely not a map update. It is a Sync software update to upgrade the software to Build 20204_PRODUCT it is only about 2.6Gb in size and it does appear to have completed correctly because the .xml file is written to the USB stick by Sync when the update completes.

It won't have changed the map number from F9 because it doesn't contain a map.

What have you got on this page on the Ford web site?

Sorry, I should have indicated that they were a screen shot of the names of the Map download files so that anyone can use them as a reference.

When it will be installed again i shall report whether it is properly complete or not.

After updating forty minutes it turned off automatically. It turned on automatically and until then it keeps updating system...

It kept updating for about another forty minutes, then it showed the message that the first part of installation is complete and a key cyrcle should be done. After one or two minutes of the key cycle it showed the message installation complete. An arrow appeared at up right, which confirmed that installation was complete. Cheched map version and indeed it showed F10.

The procedure isnt alright. It is different each time and on each car. It isnt precisely as the instrunctions. It should be fixed and be better.
