Desterer
Hi all, I've been trying to find the engine code on my focus 1.0 ecoboost engine for some time now and still cannot find it. From looking online I expected it to be stamped on the front of the engine beside the gearbox. When I looked there, I found a metal sticker with a ref number on it rather than an engine code like for example M1JE. I am quite confused about this as this does not seem to be the case for anyone else. If someone could help or guide in the correct direction I would be grateful
JW1982
The engine code is printed on a sticker which can usually be found on the rocker cover or timing belt cover. Since the exact same bottom end (short block) is used on multiple Ford models (which alle have different engine codes) the engine code is not casted info the engine block. The code that is casted info the engine block is usually a part number or production code and is not related tot the engine code.
