That would be more of a Stop/Stop engine 🤣

Have you tested the battery with a multimeter to see what the voltage is ?

Is it an ST or an ST-Line?  I didn't think the Mk7 ST had stop start.  Unless you mean it's push button start?

You'll have to let us know what the garage have tried already.  battery check?  Diagnostic check?  Is the immobiliser light flashing?

Yes push button start and the garage have said they have checked battery  and all codes have been rectified so no lights on

Ok, thanks for clarifying.

Indy garage scanners don't pick up Ford specific faults.  So really the best option now is to get Forscan on it if that's something you feel comfortable doing.  If not, taking it to a Ford dealer would probably be the only other option.

Another member has been quoted a month or so as well.  Not sure what that says about Ford reliability.

If you're fairly savvy with a phone/ or laptop, Forscan is pretty straightforward and only costs around £20 for the adapter.

Try asking another dealer. This is a long standing tactic by main dealers of all makes who just don’t want to do the work. Particularly if you are not a regular customer.
