I was hoping someone would comment on this, what an amazing drama. I've been aware of this since it started 2 decades ago. All stems from Tony Blair initiating a £1 Billion computer 'upgrade' for the

The government has had 20 years to act on this issue, today's announcement was pretty disgusting. Far too little, far far too late... Bless ITV for bringing it to the world's attention!

I know I'm late to the party, but just caught up with this show. Must confess that I wanted to slap the owner of this 306! All niggly faults, but why would someone ignore them? Faulty door mirror, lea

My dad took me to see Death Race 2000 the original, with one of the caradine brothers i forget which, he had to vouch to the usher it was ok as i was a kid.

I'd never have thought I'd say this, but the best program on telly is two OAP going fishing

Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing

New game show started on BBC1 this evening called Picture Slam.

Was a bit of fun and one of those where you quickly end up trying to beat the contestants to the answer.

Just watched the first of two, 'Paul Whitehouse, Our Troubled Rivers'... (BBC2) Wonderful, if not disturbing show! Explained that every single river in England was not of a high enough standard to be classed as 'good' in terms of being free of pollution. Most full of disgusting raw sewage, despite legislation. Also showed the wonderful Feargal Sharkey, who is now a political campaigner for the water companies to literally clean up their act.

Highly recommended...

Race Across the World is back on BBC1 on Wednesday nights for anyone that's missed it.  It is a celebrity version but don't let that put you off, it's no different to the one with non-celebs.

Also been watching Gem Hunters Down Under on DMAX lately.  It's gutting when they need one for a Focus Titanium but can only find basic GEMs. :whistling:

Stumbled upon this and you're right, never knew one 'celebrity' until Billy Monger hit the screen LOL entertaining nonetheless.

What passes for entertainment these days boggles the mind, purile drivel for the masses.

Speaking as one of the masses, I entirely agree 🤣

Must've been post your music shop era!

New series of Britain's Best Woodworker started on channel 4 last night.

Fortunately I don't know much about wood working so wouldn't know if they're doing anything wrong or not.

(That said, I did get a top grade for my bathroom cabinet at GCSE! )

Thanks Tom hadn’t noticed that love a bit of woodwork but rarely get the time for it will watch tonight.

Had my woodwork fix over the weekend laying a laminate floor, some tricky cuts and angles, good job i'd picked up an all singing dancing chop saw a few days ago Rage3 DB. Measure 3 times then once more for good measure and cut.

Another new series started last night - The Midlands with Jay Blades.  Worth a watch for anyone interested in history.

Can i add a programme i hated, That fat p*att MB on wheeler dealers last night, i didnt watch from the begining as i usually now avoid it but chanced upon it on as i  bounced around the channels. Took an oil sample from a 200,000 mile jag they'd bought to have it tested, YES for metals bits in the oil but then also for Sodium WTF another excersise in scaremongering motorists and having to pay for expensive needless tests. Metal deposits you'll find when changing oil and filter. When his sidekick investigated the engine was sound, and they put the sodium down to driving on coastal roads what a crock in my opinion. Do these TV programme makers not have a duty of care to their audience - rant over

Now, I love that episode, have watched it several times! I think you are emulating the ethos that many BBC top executives took over Top Gear. They actually thought it was about cars - it wasn't, it was an entertainment show. They could care less how big the boot was or the fuel consumption. You have to approach Wheeler Dealers in the same way, though often 'Elvis' or 'Ant' shine through. I still love the fix they discovered on how to repair the automation of the rear spoiler operation on a VW G60 Corrado!

Have just watched a one hour show,' New: Ultimate Supercar, Lotus Evija' (shown on NatGeo). The latest Lotus EV Hypercar. The tech behind this car is gobsmaking, with genuine aero advances that'll blow your mind - even if you're a pure 'petrolhead', this'll be of interest...

Watched the first of the new series of Wheeler Dealers last night. They did a full restoration on a 1979 1300 Fiesta which to be honest, most would have sent to the scrapper! Full body resto, body panels, floor, roof etc, plus much else including a £5000 paint job. The old girl looked absolutely fabulous!

Then at the meet they had arranged to launch it where 100s of old + new Fords got together, they announced the car had been stolen the night before. Theivin' scumbags. Hope they end up with a nasty accident. They have offered a £5000 no questions asked reward. Only 4 x 1979 Fiestas UK registered, so I'm guessing the Fiesta is abroad now. Was gutted for them as there genuinely was a dosh of work put into that car...

If only they had bought a Chrome Disklok 😉

Watched the film Planes, Trains & Automobiles on Thursday night.

Another well known film that I was surprised I'd never seen before.  Much 'safer' than Gremlins was!

However...  (Spoiler alert)

There seems to be a massive plot hole in it.  Right at the end, it seems like there was no point in the journey at all for one of the main characters.  It's been playing on my mind ever since!  Am I missing something obvious?  Or did he really not have any reason to be there?  He could've chosen to be anywhere...or even just stayed in NY...? 🤔

I've been watching Dr Who since it was in B&W in the 1960s. I've loved it right through the relaunch in the 2000s, apart from when they accidentally converted him into a woman, where it recorded on series link, but we'd get round to watch it 2 to 3 weeks later, and weren't that fussed.

The episode tonight, with David Tenant back in control, and seen it return to a 'live' event for my household on a Saturday night! Catherine Tate is just a treasure in terms of acting.

Great to see it back on top form again...

On this theme I watched the documentary thing on 4 or 5 regarding Dr Who history bloopers, accidents scandals.

Fully agree watch the Peter Capaldi first then gave up on the franchise, then the same with Jodi Whittaker it had lost something with these 2

Now I didn't mind Peter Capaldi, but after having seen him in, The Thick of It', kept expecting him to come out with a string of expletives 🤣

Myself and er indoors have been binge watching Lucifer, prior to that we've done blue bloods, all the ncis franchise, bones, criminal minds etc.
