Watching anything good on TV?

It's such a corrupt world we live in.

Generally I agree, but sometimes I do use them as the only way of getting your view over, since "they" rarely ask.

Now, if only I can find one about Justin Welby's knighthood.........!😀

Just found out that in 2017 Paula Vennells was proposed to be Bishop of London.

Ex-Post Office boss Paula Vennells was shortlisted to be Bishop of London in 2017, sources have told the BBC. The Rev Paula Vennells is an ordained Anglican priest but does not hold a senior position in the Church of England.

She is such an honest person, a real pillar of society 🤣🤣

I was hoping someone would comment on this, what an amazing drama. I've been aware of this since it started 2 decades ago. All stems from Tony Blair initiating a £1 Billion computer 'upgrade' for the

The government has had 20 years to act on this issue, today's announcement was pretty disgusting. Far too little, far far too late... Bless ITV for bringing it to the world's attention!

I know I'm late to the party, but just caught up with this show. Must confess that I wanted to slap the owner of this 306! All niggly faults, but why would someone ignore them? Faulty door mirror, lea

Yeah, and apparently Archbishop Welby pushed her application!😠

I've been watching the UK version of Jeopardy! lately...but still can't work out why the answers have to be phrased as a question?  Anyone know?

It's exactly the same format as the USA show, which I remember seeing there in the 70s! An odd show, made no better by the addition of Mr Fry...

I think the phrasing of a question was originally just to make it different as quiz shows swamped USA TV when launched. Kinda like the Simpsons having yellow skin, so when channel flicking, they stood out.

Anyone watched the latest series of Fargo?(series 5) it’s a cracker!!

Top Gear

"Dave" are showing the original series from episode one currently (2002). Yes there's a bloke many won't recognise Jason Dawe who was a presenter before James May, and yes, Jeremy & Richard had more hair and less weight, but it was over 20 years ago.

BUT, the most amazing thing is the cars, proper, petrol engined fast interesting cars, and because it's 2 decades ago, many will now fall in the price bracket (used) of many forum members.

I just love a bit of nostalgia...

Well not a TV channel, but a little channel on YouTube.

I just love this little series of clips (typically 3 to 4 minutes long). Just full of stupid things that governments around the world have done.

Mr Bates Vs The Post Office this week on ITV.

Really interesting series based on a fairly recent news story.  Many on here are probably aware I'm not a fan of feeling powerless against large organisations and being constantly fobbed off by bullsh*t from customer services in recent years.  So I was surprised to see that's exactly what was happening in this situation 20 years ago!

Been wanting to watch this ever since it was announced. Watched the first episode tonight. Brilliant, if horrific, start. Totally feel for every one of those accused.

My late dad used to run a PO in Malvern and I remember him telling me about this 'brilliant new system ' that was being introduced. As far as I am aware he wasn't caught up in the whole s**storm and watching the first episode makes me glad that he seems to have escaped quite an ordeal.

If anyone wants a drama to watch tonight.  There's a new one called Finders Keepers with Neil Morrissey, Fay Ripley and James Buckley on Channel 5.  First episode was last week.  Can't tell whether it's based on fact or not but it was a decent watch.

@TomsFocus caught that last week, quite good inoffensive drama 👍

Last nights, 'Inside the Factory. - yes, I'm biased, but it was from the Dublin factory that makes Guinness. Was a brilliant show, and I forgot just how big the factory was. Have had a tour of that place years ago, having visited Dublin numerous times even working there for a bit. Yes, you do get a sample at tour end, though being teetotal, I had a nice orange juice!

Keen to see how they resolve all the loose ends in just one more episode! 😮

New Death in Paradise starts tonight.  Being aired at the same time as the remaining Simon Reeve Wilderness docs though...not sure why BBC have put two new programmes on at the same time on a Sunday night.

Just started the second series of the BBC drama, Time.

First series (3 episodes) was set in a male prison starring Stephen Graham as a prison warden and Sean Bean as one of the prisoners. Violent in places but quite a good watch.

Series 2 (3 episodes again) is set in a female prison.

On the iPlayer if you're interested.

I know it's fashionable not to like them, but I just watched the most recent, 'Grand Tour - Sand Job'. Jeremy, Richard & James are all getting old, but so am I.  This episode is just like the old style Christmas Special Top Gear, I loved it! 3 old men, acting like immature children, crossing the Sahara, in 3 very unsuitable cars.

The cinematography is stunning. and the editing, with music overlaps are sublime.

If you're of a certain age, but mentally you've never really grown up, this will be a nostalgic 2 hours 15 minutes of telly...

New comedy started last night on ITV2.  G'wed.  Set in a Liverpool school and full of immature humour.

Might be a bit much for some of the more mature members on here, but for anyone that was a fan of Bad Education & The Inbetweeners, definitely worth a watch!

I know that @StephenFord enjoys watching Formula One Racing. Very soon TV coverage could see some major changes to what you can see as a drone camera keeps up with an F1 car.

Wow, that drone is simply insane! The RedBull mods to it's construction looked amazing. Am a bit hyper at the 1st race of the season this weekend, though disappointed it's unusually on Saturday, so I'll end up watching it recorded rather than live, but still, all good. Wonder if/when the drone will be used...

I guess it will depend on who has the television rights to the F1 and what deal can be done with Red Bull. Still I don't suppose it would stop them from using it for there own technical purposes.

Wonder what the insurance premium would be to cover the drone, wouldn't fancy completing a claims form if it crashed into an F1 car LOL

After watching Family Guy, noted that an episode of G'wed was on next, so on your suggestion, started to watch. Firstly, I had to switch 'subtitles' on LOL My own fault, I never liked Bad Education or Inbetweeners, so i wasn't shocked at all that this show was not for me at all. Still, wouldn't telly be boring if we all liked the same stuff!
