I was hoping someone would comment on this, what an amazing drama. I've been aware of this since it started 2 decades ago. All stems from Tony Blair initiating a £1 Billion computer 'upgrade' for the

The government has had 20 years to act on this issue, today's announcement was pretty disgusting. Far too little, far far too late... Bless ITV for bringing it to the world's attention!

I know I'm late to the party, but just caught up with this show. Must confess that I wanted to slap the owner of this 306! All niggly faults, but why would someone ignore them? Faulty door mirror, lea

TeaTV, (and of course, Kodi) but sshhh...

Kodi sucks atmo as 90% of links require subscription to Debrid or the other one that escapes me atmo. Much prefer to grab box sets via my VPN

It's been on my FireStick for over a decade. It's so complicated to use I have never mastered it. Use to be a huge fan of Terrarium, before it shut down...

Use the site Firestick tips and trick and install a wizard, takes all the faff out of it

Final episode of Race Across The World tonight 9pm.

Sadly, still doesn't work on FireStick... shame, it was a great app.

I fired up my stick last week and there were few if any sources. I'll stick with T*******s

When I just tried it, it did download a new version (v3?), however, I couldn't get it to actually install it. I've always been stumped by FireStick, I just don't understand the tech...

theres a site called firestick tips and tricks, my goto for all things stick related

Had a slosh round, no tips on why it won't 'install' after downloading...

did you allow it to install from unknown sources in settings

Really enjoyed the recent Dr Who episode, 'Dot & Bubble', about a future social media world of FineTime, an obvious parody of FaceBook. Where the rich elite, surround themselves in a bubble of virtual reality, blocking out the real world about them. To the extent that even at 'work', the primary character didn't even notice that her 5 colleagues who sit beside her in the office were missing, as she was absorbed totally in her 'bubble'.

A great insight on the way social media is heading, and sadly, the young are walking blind towards it...

For non football fans, TV is really rubbish right now. However, I'm 2 x episodes down of Dad's Army, and now onto, 'The Good Life', so not a total disaster! 😀

Don't tell'em Pike! 😀

UKTV seem to be making a big fuss about changing their name to just U next month.  And are also changing all their channel names to include the letter U - U&Dave, U&Drama, U&W, etc.

I don't get it...  Is there some sort of legal or commercial reason for it?  Can guarantee no-one will start saying 'U&' when mentioning these channels, and it looks really odd and awkward on screen.

I get drawn in to Professional Bake Off & Sewing Bee every summer, despite having no experience or even interest in food or fashion generally.  It's basically engineering but with different materials.

Also watching old episodes of Taskmaster.  And Are You Being Served? is being shown at teatime now.  Difficult to believe that's 50 years old, hasn't aged as badly as some of the other sitcoms of that era!

Also a reminder that it's Glastonbury this weekend for those of us that like music.

Use to have a crush on Wendy Richard, but that's a whole different thread 😂

Hi Hey folks

Not been here in a while... Apologies

I have Just finished catching up with the latest Rebus series on bbc iPlayer.

Have to say it didn't sit right with me at first as a reader of the books... however I have to admit I Thoroughly enjoyed it and Reccomend it 👍👍

....... although for me the ITV series will always be the best... John Hannah👍 And Ken Stott👍 The rest of cast were Very good too

I also watched ITV's Irvine Welsh's Crime. I can't Reccomend it highly enough. Great story, Great Actors and Great Acting. Dougray Scott Plays the main character, he is outstanding. Ken Stott also plays a main character and Nails it.  There's references to both the Rebus 2000 ITV series and Ian Rankin Books.... but a kitkat for the first one to spot the Taggart reference 😜

..... sorry this turned into such a long post.... Barry Norman would approve lol

Like you i'm a reader of the Ian Rankin books and was wary of the new season of Rebus, but thoroughly enjoyed it. But for me, Ken Stott will always be Rebus 😀

Watched Crime as well but didn't notice any Rebus or Taggart references 🤔

Another 👍 for the latest iteration of Rebus. Having avidly read the novels and the related "Complaints" books I thought it brought the various threads together very well.

A friend of mine didn't like the violence but he's only seen the TV versions and didn't appreciate how "dark" the actual novels are in places.

Didn't diminish my admiration for the Ken Stott version at all.

My only reservation is would such a character last 5 minutes in the politically correct world of today? Would it have been better to set it in the 80's when Rebus was actually still a DS?

not seen either but Taggart references usually include ther been a mudder

Just started watching, 'Titanic' on ch4, seen it numerous times but finishes at 10pm, that should take me till after the footie, depending on extra time LOL 🤣

I don't mind football on TV but can't stand all the chat around it.  How can 'coverage' of a 90 minute game last for 4 hours!?

Haven't been able to watch much this year due to the vertigo but hoping to see at least the end of this game.  Also hoping those Meerkats were correct!

On the plus side, at least the Tennis over for another year!
