hi i have a 2002 ranger double cab ,the factory alarm goes off intermittently,i lock it and a few hours later the alarm goes off ,for no apparent reason ,another time i lock it and no problems it did it twice one night, next night nothing ,got to the point where i have to leave the truck unlocked ,has anyone had this problem or any ideas,thanks

    I had this issue recently on my mondeo, seems that the battery went flat and the alarm went off when the car thought it had been tampered with. How old is the battery?

    I have had same problem , check interior light door switch's are not sticking or bonnett switch

    I have had a ford ranger 2001 for many years and my alarm goes off too and i have given up trying to stop it so i now lock my pick up by opening the back door and pushing the drivers door button down this stops the alarm going off. This won't sort your problem out but might help you lock your truck
