T-Bird Ford Man!

51 years ago Arthur Lampitt crashed his 1963 Thunderbird. ( the one that looks like the Corsair ).

Last week in surgery, a 7 inch turn lever signal was removed from his left arm.

Lampitt now 75, is recovering at home.

The accident had broken his hip, drawing attention from his arm, which healed.

A decade or so ago, his arm set off a metal detector.

An x-ray showed a slender object the length of a pencil, but because it caused no pain, he was told to leave it.

A few weeks ago the arm began to hurt, and he decided to have surgery.

He found a collection of old photos of the wreck and noticed that the flicker arm was missing.

Surgery confirmed it, 7 inches long.

Dr Lang said that a protective pocket had grown around it.

you can see it in Fox News or the St Louis Post - Dispatch.

Will Ford give him some old T-bird?

Or will the local dealer give him free services, upon presentation of the flicker lever?

haha, Ford would probably charge him more for the fact he is likely to cause them more work!
