Brigante
I have just had the idea to test the alarm on my mk4 mondeo I put the passenger window all the way down and double locked the car I then left the key a good distance away from the car before reaching inside the car trying to trip the motion sensors to set the alarm off To my confusion and horror the alarm is not being triggered. I then also reached in and started yanking on the handle to try and open it from the inside. Still didn't set the alarm off. I also popped the bonnet then double locked the car and then lifted the bonnet. Again, no alarm going off. This is really worrying me now. In the convers+ settings it says the alarm is on full guard. On my mk2 focus if I leave a window down while locked and so much as put my hand in the window seal it will set the alarm off, if I stick my head in the cabin or wave my arm around it will set the alarm off and If I open the bonnet while the main car is locked again it will set the alarm off. Please can someone advise on why my mondeo alarm is not being set off
nbuuifx
Did you wait a couple of minutes? I don't know if it makes any difference on this car and haven't tested the alarm on the mondeo but on our other car the alarm doesn't activate for a few minutes for some reason. Maybe it just hasn't had time?
